MINING YOUR DREAMS FOR GOLD

MINING YOUR DREAMS FOR GOLD

It makes sense to me that each one of us would like to take the simpler more direct route to achieving our life goals. If we can achieve our soul’s purpose, our true reason for being and incarnating at this time, without following a lot of blind alleys, I believe a positive simple method would surely be our preference.

Yet it often feels that earth is a difficult school to master. In pursuing our desired accomplishments unfortunately it seems we need to stumble here and there and occasionally metaphorically fall flat on our faces. It definitely would be positive and satisfying for us if there were a way to go an easier more productive roadway while using our talents and accomplishing our intended results.

This need or desire for accomplishing our goals with ease and simplicity is where our dreams can be of great help. Our dreams can assist in so many ways. In dreams we can literally try out different approaches without spending needless time and effort on solutions that will not or cannot work. Instead of our usual exhaustive way of trying first this way and then that possibility, through our dreams we can find a way to hone in on the most effective pathway without much time or physical effort.

How can we encourage our dreams to work for us and with us in our efforts? To solicit the required help from your personal dream maker it is necessary to convince your dream creator that you are truly interested and grateful for its help. One of the simple ways of showing your gratitude is to keep a dream journal with as much detail as you can recall from each dream. If you journal in a regular fashion you will find that your dreams occur with greater regularity while becoming more detailed and offering much helpful advice. By journaling and making an effort to understand the messages contained in the dreams, you are really saying to your dream composer “thank you, your help is appreciated. I am ready to receive more of your insight”.

When you are faced with important decisions concerning a particular desire, it is good to write in great detail what you wish to accomplish. Having done that you can read the details aloud to your dream self as you prepare to sleep. You can put into your one way conversation with the dream maker as much detail as you wish concerning the desired solution. Another helpful way to pave the way for important answers also is to say aloud “Tonight I will dream, remember and record the correct solution to this problem situation.

From time to time I have had clients say to me that they do not wish to remember dreams because they have had one or more nightmares. I say congratulations because a nightmare is a dramatic way of pointing out what you are ignoring in the daytime hours, something that really requires your attention. A nightmare can be the very best thing because it opens your eyes to an important issue requiring your investigation and probably decisive action.

Occasionally I have had clients insist that they simply never dream.  Of course that is not true. What is true is that they are not remembering their dreams. We all dream multiple times through our night’s sleep.

How do you become more conscious of your dreams in order to remember as much detail as possible? That is fairly simple. First when you feel yourself starting to wake from sleep, do not move your body and do not open your eyes. Remain in the position you were lying in with your eyes closed.

Next without moving, search your mind to identify your last thought, sight or feeling. Perhaps you only saw color. Perhaps you felt heat or cold. You might remember a sound or fragrance. As you started to wake were you full of a particular emotion: joy, fear, anticipation? Did you interact with other people or animals in the dream scene?

No matter how miniscule your memory of the dream, write down as much as you can without worrying or analyzing those fragments to see whether they make sense or even if they are spelled right! Start with the last thing you remember, then what came before that in the dream and what came before that! This is not the time to start analyzing or working on the message, just remember as much as you can and then save it. Putting your memories on paper or on a recording device will allow other parts of the dream to come back to you throughout the day.

Do not judge yourself for not immediately being able to put together every dream in its entirety. With continual work using this process night after night you will find yourself remembering much more easily and with greater detail.

When you have saved ten or more dreams you may wish to begin looking for repetitive patterns in the dreams. Patterns can reveal and highlight parts of the meaningful messages. It is helpful to note if any of the dreams have similar emotions, settings or locations, the same people or other repeating aspects.

At this point you might start your dream symbol dictionary. For instance, my daughter felt that the sight of me breaking an egg on my third eye in a dream meant hatching a new idea! If you look carefully at any repetition in dreams you will have your own symbols coming to your attention. In days past for instance when I saw two white dogs and one black dog the dream was really focusing on the mindset of my two stepchildren and had nothing to do with dogs at all!

We all have symbols that mean something special to us as individuals. How do you feel about a dream that contains distant steeples, black cats, toilets (if you are not a plumber!), the second story of a dark home, a shovel. The list could go on and on. What is true is that your feeling or dream interpretation of any of these items would be different than mine. That is why your dream symbol dictionary could reveal a lot of meaning for you.

FOR THE LOVE OF DREAMS

How much more wonderful and productive can our lives become when we dare to dream? Can we rise above our everyday routine to find a wider more dynamic existence as we sleep and dream? Fascination with dreams began long before the written word. Dream study and interpretation have been practiced for centuries.

As far as can be determined it would seem that even early cave man sketched images of his dreams on the rock walls of caves.

The ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians greatly honored those individuals who were expert in interpreting dreams. Those ancient peoples also erected dream temples for the purpose of creating solutions to troublesome problems through a process of personally incubating or creating a dream answer by fasting and praying before sleeping in the temple.

Closer to today the Iroquois Indians of the Great Lakes believe in the healing power of dreams. In addition they feel that dreams reveal the “secret longings of the soul”. For those of you who desire the confirmation that you are correctly traveling your own life path, can you understand the comfort that would be yours if you knew your own soul’s longing and desire?

However, simply as a way of contrast, consider the staggering amount of information that is currently available day-to-day on every imaginable subject. If it has been talked about, written, lectured on or otherwise brought to public attention, the internet search will find it and present it. There exists so much scientific and esoteric data both new and old seemingly pouring in from millions of sources. In light of this endless flood of data let us think whether it is really worth the extra time and effort to catch, record and analyze our personal sleeping dreams.

In other words, what part should dreams play in our lives in this apparently advanced age? After all with the help of the internet there is nearly no time at all involved in the transfer of any needed information to us. The phrases “just Google it” or “go to Yahoo” have become part of our language. Yet many of us continue to studiously keep dream diaries or journals.

Sometimes we find meaning in those entries, many times not. Still through the process of dreaming it becomes ultimately worthwhile to access an ever wider variety of future possibilities along with more current choices. Could it be that if we choose to ignore our dreams we might be in danger of losing some all too valuable information and direction? It seems simply finding solutions to pesky everyday problems through dream work could allow us to move forward confidently with our larger and ultimately more effective plans.

One advantage to recording our dreams is with the passage of time we can find patterns emerge. By looking carefully at our own symbolic meanings the themes begin to clarify and repeat. Making our own “dream dictionary” can simplify interpretation. In other words what does it mean to me if I dream of eggs or midnight or the color yellow? With repeated effort and intention the whole process becomes much easier and a great deal more helpful!

Dreams come in so many varieties. Where do they come from? Is it our own dream maker or high self that sends them? Do they come from God or I Am? Could it be advice offered by our own guides, angels or master teachers? When our dream images successfully point us in a positive winning direction perhaps the source is not as important as the positive results.

Warning or prophetic dreams are not too common. They do present themselves from time to time but it is important to know that dreams also come in over lapping layers of meaning. While a dream may seem to “come true” in a few days or months that may be far from the sole purpose of it. When an apparently prophetic dream proves itself but does not have any direct effect on you, your friends, your family or associates, it is time to search for other more personal and symbolic meanings.

It is important to understand that a dream of death may have nothing to do with physical death. However it might portend the death of a specific relationship or simply the discarding or “killing off” of a particular personal belief system. Certainly a dream can be valuable in pointing out the true and possibly negative motivations of someone you are working with, thus saving you a lot of anguish and allowing you the option of “killing” that connection.

It is easy enough to identify those dreams which are not actually dreams at all but clear visitations from spirits. For instance the spirit of the grandmother whom you loved so much when she was on earth might come to you at night. Those spirit visitations are easy to recognize because they do not come as a puzzle or metaphor but instead the spirit will present himself exactly as he or she would if you were talking together. A spirit visit will offer the same kind of conversation, wording and feeling that would have existed in earlier shared moments when the two of you were together. Usually there will be some kind of message or advice. Although many times the purpose of the visit is simply emotional comfort with an expression of love or forgiveness.

If you have any difficulty in recalling your dreams (you know we all dream every night!) try this simple solution: Before retiring tell yourself: “tonight I will dream. I love my dreams. In the morning I will remember the very last dream and record it!” It may take you two or three nights of instructing your subconscious but you will win. It is also a good idea to thank yourself or your dream maker for sending a dream. It not only shows your appreciation but it also encourages better “reception”.

I wish you happy, productive dreaming filled with useful information!

PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE?

While working as a psychic  medium, I spend hours in the future. On behalf of my clients, I look into their future and busily trace possible outcomes resulting from their current decisions and actions. They have questions of all sorts concerning a considered  relocation, employment, relationships, and much more.

After all, this is why clients come to me. They come with a myriad of questions about existing situations or desired changes in their personal lives. They want to know what they can do now to affect tomorrow in a positive way.

I am personally fulfilled by helping clients in this way. Whenever I receive confirmation from one of my clients that some information which was retrieved “in session” was beneficial, it gives me great satisfaction. It tells me that this is the work I was born to do.

Having said all of that, the way for any of us to move into a more productive, abundant future is to be fully present in the now. Our tomorrows will be there when the time comes. It is in this now moment that we can make the potent changes which will insure a better future for each of us.

Looking backward into the past can give information or clues as to why we feel the way we do. The past can suggest why we individually act the way we do, but very few of us really want to remain stuck in our yesterdays or to relive the past. We as humans have a built in drive to always do better! We actively seek new experiences.

Let me on the other hand acknowledge while praising the value to be found in today, that I am all for futuristic daydreaming. The truth is daydreaming combined with intense emotion is a strong creative force. The combination of imagination, emotion and belief or faith will manifest those personal daydreams whether those thoughts and mental pictures are good or bad, positive or negative.

What I am suggesting is that perhaps our creative daydreaming needs to be controlled as to when and where it occurs and carefully analyzed for content!

Too often we are simply not present at times when we need to be. I believe that personal intuition should play a very beneficial protective and productive role in each of our lives. However, if we do not practice being fully present in our daily activities, we risk failing to pick up the “signs” and “signals”. Through lack of attention, we can ignore or fail to recognize our own highest spirit advice.

Being completely present in the now, allows us to feel and to see on a much more accurate level. The result of clear in-depth perceptions is our ability to take advantage of opportunities that might otherwise escape our attention. Further, that kind of “extra sensory knowing” can allow us to avoid potential pitfalls.

Being completely alert and aware throughout your day will bring the best results. When you need special answers, do your “looking” in your meditation room or other private place away from interruptions. It is not necessary to retreat for hours or days to the top of the mountain or even to leave your home.

You have all the ability you require to contact your highest self right where you are. Seek privacy and ask. Ask your guides. Ask your angels. Ask your higher power. Just ask!

You have truly valuable information just waiting for your questions. Offer your receptivity to your highest spirit self! Grab a pen and be prepared for concrete and practical answers.

May I help you with information from your personal guides and teachers? Would you like to contact loved ones who have passed to the other side? I am available for your private appointment and counseling session.

I work from my home office in Prescott Arizona. I will read for you either at my home or by telephone. Each session is recorded on a cassette and given to you for your later review. All your information is strictly confidential.
